Just a thought....
After doing a handful of Dynamis runs with you guys, I decided to put a few pointers/tips out. This is not a knock on anyone or an attempt to bash anyone, just some general ideas for areas of improvement.
Start time: We need to start on time. I can’t stress how important this is. Particularly with events that have a cool down time. We go in late Tuesday; we go in late Friday and on and on. Some people may not be able to make later runs so please be considerate.
Jobs: Don’t really see this as an issue. Just ask an LS leader and don’t complain about it.
Meds: Bring the appropriate meds/food. To me this is one of the simplest things in the world. You wouldn’t show up to an exp party without food if you where a melee and wouldn’t party in the mire as a mage without echo’s.
Know your zone: Don’t leave it up to leaders to do all the research on a zone for you. Let’s be honest, you’re probably going to look up the zone to see what it drops that you’re interested in anyway, take the extra step.
Equipment: Keep your job up to date on equipment, we all know that what makes a player is his/her skill but flat out, you can perform better with good equipment.
Know your role: If you’re a melee, melee, if you’re a mage heal/nuke, if you’re a specialty job then perform that special function. Do it as often as you can or need to.
Attitude: It’s a game but that don’t mean the task at hand shouldn’t be taken seriously. Everyone wants to have fun, and there is fun to be had but just keep a balanced attitude about it. Everyone one wants the gear that Northlands drop, and the only way we are going to get it for everyone is to keep hitting the same zones. Watch how fast people get tired of zones when you wipe or have costly delays for dumb reasons. Bring your ‘A’ game, focus up and the success will come. The fun will follow. I think getting gear is fun, don’t you?
Now, some people are new to northlands, but that doesn’t mean they are new to Dynamis or linkshell events. Same strats generally apply across the board. Play smart. If you’re a new player, you need to be paying attention so you can better serve your linkshell or whatever linkshell you plan on ending up with. Veteran players, provide leadership and a good example.
Just a few thoughts….take them as you will

This should be required reading for everyone in the LS i think, but there will always be people by some fuckin' miracle managed to stumble out of the dunes and into a 75 job and still not know jack shit bout the game

I wouldn't mind seeing people being considerate of others when it comes to freelot. Freelot items should first be offered to the folks who can equip the item...THEN to the people who want to be loot-whores or those that want the item for a job that they intend to level. Perhaps it's just wishful thinking on my part, but it annoys the crap out of me to see people lotting on every single AF that goes freelot.

This is in response to Ehel's post about lotting AF gear. I know it's a month old post but I'm new here and killing time on lunch at work reading the board.
I am sure there are many people in the shell that have numerous lvl 75 jobs so you can't list them all in @1-3 search comments. It sux to have a job that can wear something now and lose out on free lots to people that have the job sitting at Lvl 1 but that's the unfortunate way of the world of free lotting.
One thing that can be considered is using a structured free lot system. Do it in tiers of some sort. It worked pretty well in my last dynamis shell.
Once they hit free lot status, it went 70+, 65+, 60+, 55+, 50+ and then finally it was a free-for-all. I understand that can be a lot for a leader to juggle during dynamis with that many levels but even a 70+, 60+ and then free-for-all would alleviate some of the problem. Then at least people who can wear or are close to wearing the gear get first shot over wanabes.
Just my .02.
